Positive: great teachers and interesting content,
Negative: programs are hard to use and expensive to buy, the computers at uni aren’t powerful enough to run some types of software that are needed, thus having your own powerful pc at home is kind of needed, which is very expensive to do.
My advice to future students is: To keep and open mind and listen to the lectures, even if they seem wrong at the time
Negatives - 1)student are like an infection, pointless, stupid, to young and fresh from high so they have 0 idea what the real world is like
2) teachers are poorly educated such as asking any question they refer you to google
3) if you excel in a class teachers will only give you attention then you have to help the slower students
My advice to future students is: Get out
The positive aspects would be that you get to learn a lot of really interesting programs, for example the adobe suite programs. It opens up opportunities to interact with industry professionals as well as offer opportunities for future internships and relationships within the industry.
The negative aspects are that some of the group related projects can be dominated by certain students who study a particular main stream with a singular student who majors in a completely other stream, that singular student in turn is left with all the work which focuses on the stream they followed whereas the other students would be able to balance the load of there work. It then just becomes unfair and the project becomes unbalanced.
The course offers internships as well as provides lots of seminars to meet industry professionals as well as the opportunity to get into Afters.
My advice to future students is: The work can get hard and it can get stressful but you just gotta power through, it may not seem it at the time but in the end it's all worth it.
Positive i met some good people. Negative the school and the course and the teachers where terible
My advice to future students is: Go somewhere with a good track record
Taught me how to use various programs, and provided insight into the industry.
We weren’t taught enough about the business side of the industry, e.g. the documents we had to prepare before starting a project (e.g. design documents). We were taught briefly, but it wasn’t properly taught to us until our final semester, when we were working on our final projects, which I think is a little too late.
My advice to future students - Use the assessments/ exercises they give you to work on your portfolio, especially in classes that let you work on your own projects.
Positive the community negatives the teaching staff is under qualified.
My advice to future students - Go somewhere else!
