Good things to say about this course -
I'm finding this course very well rounded and interesting. I'm unsure how this may set up a job at the end of it.
The lecturers and tutors are really helpful and knowledgable. They share a lot of practical examples to help theories become more practical.
The course is informative and educational. It helps you develop your skills and has many opportunities to gain experience. The positive parts of the course include the lecturers, who are very experienced and the tutorials which help you with your understanding of topics.
My advice to future students is: To attend lectures
Great support from the lecturers and tutors. Interesting contents provided. Does not have many compulsory subjects, giving students opportunities to take electives from other interested areas.
My advice to future students is: Revise after every lectures or tutorials.
Positives: One great aspect about Commerce is the way it is taught. Regardless of whether you have taken the subject in high school or whether you know nothing about it, everyone starts with the basic debits & credits. And because of this, I believe anyone, who has interest in this subject, would be able to grasp the contents taught pretty easily.
Negatives: Real life aren't exactly as black and white as textbooks. I feel like the course do not really prepare you for the corporate world as well as job experiences would, mainly because the course is very textbook-oriented.
My advice to future students is: Try to get some working experience while studying such as by applying for internships. Often times, students will realise that they might not like working in the corporate/finance sector as much as they like learning it. Also, work experience could also help you have a better understanding of the materials that you are learning in the course.
Positives: Its easy
Negatives: Its boring
My advice to future students: Just do what comes
