Positives: It’s is a very hands on driven course. The approach to study is more of a workshop than a lecture giving the students a lot of one on one time.
Negatives: Basic knowledge of adobe programs is somewhat needed before starting the course
My advice to future students is: Time management is key
Positives: All of the teachers work in the industry in real time so know their stuff really well!!
Negatives: The stereotypes and negativity of body types ( have to be super skinny) etc when studying illustration.
My advice to future students is: Make sure you study what you live or you’ll have trouble getting motivated to both do and complete the course
The positives are: its a really creative course and not intense in regards to the work.
For someone who hates essays or any maths and likes being creative, this course is a really good option.
The negatives of this course is that its mostly based on computer work. Most of the activities are on computer using software.
My advice to future students is: You need to have good skill with computer software
Positive: Hands on learning, experienced lecturers, small classes, relevant and current content
Negatives: none yet.
My advice to future students is: Never be embarrassed to ask questions!
Positive: Fairly flexible, practical, hands-on
Negative: Not all units offered as online and/or evening courses
My advice to future students is: Don't start projects last minute, be prepared with equipment before every class, record and photograph all project progress
