Positives: 1. Professional development
2. Orientation to an Australian setting
3. Study childcare theories in depth
Negatives: 1. Looooong: composed of 28 units
2. Some assessment questions were repeated in other units
3. Theoretical knowledge and practical experience are done simultaneously in each unit which takes too much time and effort
My advice to future students is: Brace yourself. Focus on your goal to sustain enthusiasm in completing the course. Proper time management, full time study if possible.
Positives: The teachers are friendly and approachable, you can tell they have real passion for their work. The practical side of the course was fantastic.
Negatives: There wasn’t enough practical work done, doing things hands on is the best way to learn. The balance between theory work and practical work wasn’t good.
My advice to future students is: Don’t be afraid to ask as many questions as possible so you know exactly what you’re doing & learning.
