Course Description

The Bachelor of Paramedic Science at CQUniversity is designed to equip you with the skills to become a Paramedic. If you are already a practicing Paramedic and would like to gain a formal qualification this program may also be for you.

You will develop foundation knowledge in sciences, human body systems, study and research skills and paramedic practice.

In addition your training will focus on disease processes and emergency treatment, and include practical placements in paramedic care, enabling you to graduate work ready and highly sought after by employers.

Work placement within the industry allows you to put your learning into practice and work closely with paramedics to respond to real-life emergency situations.

The practice of paramedic services is increasing in specific business areas and the Bachelor of Paramedic Science meets the current demands of the industry, ensuring you become a skilled professional.

You are required to undertake a minimum of 15 weeks (600 hours) of work placement in the health industry primarily with the Queensland Ambulance Service.

Structure of subjects were good. Lecturers gave good supplementary informations, links and related matter. The placement timetables were also good in duration and layout as there were 3 in total.

The lecturers were fantastic and for a paramedic degree this is the place to go as it is becoming extremely well known and recommended amongst services in Australia.

The equipment was up to date and all chances to practice were met with heaps of help from lecturers.
