Positives: A lot of facilities allot of people and everyone is soooo nice
Negatives: tbh nothing
My advice to future students is: go to DEAKIN
As it is the golden era of technology and technology is playing vital role in our society. Australia is one of the best country's to study Information Technology because Australian Government invested huge amounts of money in IT sector.
IT is an innovative and research intensive faculty with a strong reputation for its practice-based learning programs and industry engagement.
This program allows students to combine their business studies, in a major of their choice, with the expertise of information technology.
This course includes:
Data Base Critical Thinking
Object Oriented Programming Fundamentals
Information Systems Development
Since my early childhood, I was attracted towards computers and with time it eventually grew within. i have chosen this course because it includes all modern programming languages like
java, C#, python, C++ and also block chain technology.
i am very interested to study Block Chain technology and i want to enter in this sector so i choose this course.
The course is designed to allow you to undertake further studies in a field of your preference through advanced coursework and a major project, ultimately developing a prototype and presenting a formal thesis on the outcome.
Positives: The course is designed to allow you to undertake further studies in a field of your preference through advanced coursework and a major project, ultimately developing a prototype and presenting a formal thesis on the outcome.
Negatives: i don't think there are any negative aspects of this course 🙄
if you are interested in IT then this course is best.
My advice to future students is: All students who are interested in Computer this course will open best opportunities in Job market plus it you will learn each and everything related to computer like Programming and etc even this course will help you to lead your business as well.
I'm majoring in Management.
Positives: Learn various aspects of business strategy and how to make money
Negatives: Theres too much theory involved, there is a 2 week internship included however if this were longer I believe it would make it easier in finding a job post degree completion.
My advice to future students is: Study hard and get good grades as many of the graduate jobs ask for previous grades and try to get as much experience as possible during your course.
Positives: 1. Flexibility - study online
2. Since it’s Masters, the the Unit chairs are very knowledgeable and understanding. All provide assistance considering I’m an online student
Negatives: Disconnection - not much communication with students
My advice to future students is: Be as active as you can be on online discussion boards and be up to date with the work load
Most of the tutors at Deakin are overwhelmingly supportive. However, the vagueness of the content offered makes it difficult to apply to the world of teaching. Some subjects are online only which I personally had difficulty with as a 'face to face' type of learner.
Deakin provides a modern and innovative learning environment for students. However, some courses I was very excited to study were only available either online or at the other campus. Tutors are usually very hands on as a whole and can provide care and support when required
Positives: one great thing about this course is that in first year it sets you up so that you know the basics. the forensics unit in the uni has both experimental hands on work as well as book focused work, so that benefits both types of students. the units are very interesting and allows you to explore all aspects of forensic so that you can major in exactly what you like.
Negatives: theres not enough forensic units, although we do a few a lot of the units are general units. also there are no placement so we can't get field work.
My advice to future students is: study from the beginning of the trimester and don't leave it till the end during exams. forensic is really exciting but know that there aren't that many jobs and therefore you would need to start off low. also would recommend looking for volunteer work for your course, specially forensic which doesn't have many jobs, whilst studying on the holidays. also work hard because honours is vital for jobs
Positives: The teaching staff were willing to explain everything in a lot of detail and were very understanding when it came to providing sympathy for situations beyond my control
Negatives: Honestly nothing - I didn’t have not one bad encounter
My advice to future students is: If you’ve got your mind set on it, don’t hesitate - go for it!
Positives: Really helpful and educated teachers. The course provides practice opportunities that assists in furthering our skills and knowledge
Negatives: There are aspects of the unit that are mentioned on placement that are not covered in the course that would be helpful to know
My advice to future students is: Keep ahead of all assignment work
I'm majoring in Animal Biology.
Positives: It is a very interesting course with very in depth and interesting curriculums. You learn in many ways (hands on, practicals, lectures, discussions) and the university often provides help in the form of PASS classes for those who need it. It has a lot of electives of which you can chose any units in the university allowing you to study other things you may be interested in.
Negatives: There are no jobs in this field and any job there is you need massive volunteering experience to be considered
My advice to future students is: If you are not passionate about animal biology and research enough to volunteer for at minimum a year it is not worth it
