I majored in IT and Security.
Positives: I loved IT security since I touch my first computer. And at that time I was an overseas student who lived in Sri Lanka . We had no opportunity to study that course . So I choose Australia .
That's aspect one . One choice .
2nd - I loved the teacher who taught the course . They had passion to live in that industry and teach us at the same time . They cared about us and helped us in every way
3rd - The course was very flexible . I had the chance to remotely complete and the uni understood international students emotions .
Payments were also very flexible with payment plans .
Negatives: I could have got industry experience, 6 months placement . Or something to put my step on IT INDUSTRY
My advice to future students is: FIND A UNI THAT HELPS YOU AND THINK ABOUT YOU.
Further look for a course with industry experience and job placement . That will help you make your life easier
As it is the golden era of technology and technology is playing vital role in our society. Australia is one of the best country's to study Information Technology because Australian Government invested huge amounts of money in IT sector.
IT is an innovative and research intensive faculty with a strong reputation for its practice-based learning programs and industry engagement.
This program allows students to combine their business studies, in a major of their choice, with the expertise of information technology.

My advice to future students is: Be proficient at c/c# coding and data structure and algorithms
Positives: Positive aspects of this course are that it provides good knowledge of advanced programming. Course study materials are good.
Negatives: I found the course is not suitable for people with limited knowledge of programming.
My advice to future students is: Consider this course if you have good knowledge of programming and aspire to work as a developer.
Positives: We can choose the specialization from various verticals of IT. Course has data analytics, Networking , software development etc as the specialization and electives, so you can choose on your interest levels
Negatives: Not much deep knowledge study on any one vertical
My advice to future students is: Understand your area of interests , research on what the university is providing in the course and make the best choice
Positives: As this is a combination of programming and strategy management. The course has many specializations to choose such as Data Analytics, IT Strategy Management and Software Services and Development. Hence helpful to learn a variety of units and gain knowledge on them.
Negatives: Some of the units in this course are redundant and theory-based, which won't add any value to the learning.
My advice to future students is: Consider this course if you have experience in Information or Computer science and technology field with appropriate programming knowledge. Also, the advice is to choose the specialization carefully.
Positives: This is designed in such a way that you can choose your specific area of interest like master in data analyst, networking, software Development and IT strategy and management along with the core unit related to information technology so you can study subjects related to the field that you need to work on and also helps in knowing broad knowledge on core information on the field
Negatives: Many projects and assignments in short span of time so that you can't learn very deep about any subject chosen
My advice to future students is: Lots of study/research has to be done by students than expecting it from the course or the lecture .. so that they can excel in the subjects enrolled
Positives: You can learn more about data and how to derive decisions from analysing that data
Negatives: This course enables you to be a data analyst right after course end and many people claim that it doesn't help you become a data developer. Maybe thats a problem but I never felt that.
My advice to future students is: If you are ready to dive into the world of data then this is the right course for you
