Course Description

With this double degree combination, you will develop a broad understanding of how crime is managed in society.

Forensic Science component
You will learn about handling criminal casework in forensic biology and forensic chemistry.

You will have the option to select one of two forensic science majors:

Forensic Chemistry
Forensic Molecular Biology
Criminology and Criminal Justice component
You will learn about trends in crime and investigate how crime can be prevented and reduced.

Positives: The learning is hands on and very interesting.

Negatives: There is a lot of content to be covered

My advice to future students is: Make sure you are completely devoted to your study and be prepared to put in a lot of hours.

Positives: The positive aspects are the topics that you get to focus on in trimester 2. They are very interesting and interactive.

Negatives: The time tables are terrible. Unless you live near the campus then you will have no time for much else other than staying on a bus and some partial work

Positive aspects of the Criminology and Criminal Justice degree is that it is interesting content and there are a lot of different electives available.
