Course Description

This course focuses onprofessional nursing practice and theory, and is underpinned by a philosophy ofperson centred and holistic care, making our graduates highly sought after. We develop professionals who have valuableskills and knowledge, and are known for their culturally sensitive client care, safeand ethical clinical reasoning, and advanced communication skills.

You are prepared for practice through a combination of oncampus theory and the latest simulation activities that are delivered in our state-of-the-art simulation apartments and clinical wards. With a focus on inter-professional learning, you will develop valuable skills to operate as part of the healthcare team.

Your supported clinical practice will take place in avariety of healthcare settings throughout Victoria. You are exposed to clinicalpractice early in the course, and the range of clinical placementsinclude aged care, acute and sub-acute, community, mental health, paediatricand high dependency nursing.

Our industry partnerships ensure the course is responsiveto changing industry needs. Fellowship programs are available with ourpartners, enabling students to develop an ongoing relationship with a health provider.

Definitely a smaller uni course so closer to teachers, teachers know your name which makes it so much more personal.

The negative is very disorganised. Some teachers seem like they are very good nurses but not very good teachers.
