Course Description

This course enables you to plan and implement appropriate care and educational experiences for young children. Through the combination of face-to-face, online and practicum based learning, you will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively as a professional team member in an early childhood service.

These skills include gaining an understanding of legal and ethical requirements, engaging with young children and their families, facilitating children's leisure and play, and fostering holistic development and wellbeing.

Graduates may work under direct supervision and may also have limited supervisory responsibilities of volunteers.

I didn’t end up finishing the course because I didn’t enjoy it. It was too cutesy and not as informative as I’d like. Lots of hands on experience though which was good

Really enjoyed the hands on side of things, being able to enter a classroom and teach the kids straight up. Didn’t enjoy the theory side of it so much but I guess it helped me study and understand how to teach a little better.
