Some of the common advice we hear from students includes:
Utilise the Uni's support services. Ask staff questions (in class or via email) whenever you need. Don't be afraid to ask for advice;
Get involved in clubs and societies - it's easy to make friends;
Figure out how you're going to get to Uni (for Bundoora students);
Try to get work experience as well as study (some courses include this)
Work hard and have fun

My one piece of advice - figure out what you'd like to do (major) before its too late.

Classes are relevant to things we will be doing when were older, however their isn't much support when it comes to assignments

My advice to future students - To make sure they are very prepared to pay attention from the beginning so they don't fall behind.

I liked the course content on offer as part of the degree. You get to select your major.

I wasn’t a fan of the studying format so much but I guess that is part of university.

Will be returning in a couple of years to do more.

My advice to future students is: Make sure you know what you want from life, don’t let people change your mind

Positive: Opportunity for future employment if the individual is hands on and motivated to network within the industry
Negative: You have to endure several subjects that are irrelevant to the course

My advice to future students is: Take the course with an open mind

Positive - good subjects to choose from. Some of the compulsory are boring and general.
The campus is great and good to get a park at.

Negative - not enough guidance on assessments. It'd be great if we got to see how a good grade could be accomplished. More practical work could be included to help when looking for a job.

My advice to future students is: Find out which area within business they like. Also, do you really want to do a broad business degree?

I majored in HR

Positives - Broad career options, theoretical, not too hard, recognised worldwide.

Negatives - Not on the PR list, pricey, time consuming.

My advice to future students is: To opt for it if you're really passionate about the industry.
Stay motivated as it can get boring sometimes. Prepare as it includes a lot of writing
