Course Description

Psychology professionals seek to understand how the mind works and why people behave the way they do. Human Services professionals have a desire to improve people's quality of life. Both professions ultimately seek to provide strategies that can help people live happier, healthier and more productive lives. This double degree will prepare you for a career in the health, wellbeing, community or disability services. The complementary knowledge of human behaviour you'll gain from the psychology component will give you an edge in a variety of careers.

You'll learn to use scientific inquiry to critically assess situations and assist in facilitating the provision of human health, community and wellbeing services.
The skills you'll gain in the collection, evaluation and critical analysis of data will enhance your employment opportunities in all fields and industries.
You'll have the opportunity to gain relevant workplace experience in a community setting that's relevant to psychology.
This course provides accredited training in psychology, which is applicable to a wide range of careers requiring an understanding of human behaviour.
Completion of certain majors provides the required academic background for postgraduate study in areas such as physiotherapy (Human Movement major) and audiology.
You can complete two degrees with only one additional year of study.
