Course Description

Accounting is often referred to as the language of business. Understanding this language means accountants hold the privileged position of being key contributors to a business' success. Armed with such skills, accountants can apply their knowledge in a number of dynamic industries.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills that professional accountants need in order to succeed in an increasingly dynamic and global accounting environment, and will also help you to meet the requirements for professional accreditation in accounting. You will be challenged with case studies, real business problems and group projects.

You'll gain essential financial and management accounting knowledge, as well as a range of business-related skills in assurance and audit, commercial law, economics, financial management, information systems and statistics.

You'll also develop your communication, problem-solving and communication skills while participating in classroom activities and completing assessment tasks.
