Positives: Helpful lecturers and tutors. Content is really interesting for most of the classes. the timetables were generally good too and gave me the chance to try to do most of my classes on the same day rather than spread out

Negatives: sometimes very unorganised and some class teachers were unclear on what was required. I didn't like some of the units but they were core units so needed to be completed. Also, I wish we could have done prac or some simulated prac on campus

My advice to future students is: study hard. I slacked off and I had to work harder to catch up. Not all units are interesting but just push through because its worth it at the end.

I'm doing arts/science double degree.

Positives: Better Understanding of what and how and why it is the way it is. And provides a hope for further research into a greater world of science

My advice to future students is: Choose wisely on what interests you.

Positives: The content is generally really good. I feel like the course covers a range of topics and skills relevant to what we need in the real world when we start using the degree for work. The timetabling is pretty flexible and I have made good friends at uni.

Negatives: Some of the lecturers and Uni admin are awful, breaching disability acts, etc. The lecturers are also chosen based on their research which does not translate to good skills as a lecturer and can make for some really boring content and assessments that are not relevant or that are too vague in scope. It can be really hard to get help to challenge anything and even if you do it is usually too late to make any difference to your class

My advice to future students is: Make sure you know what you want to study and the possible pathways at the end. For example with psychology you can't work as a psychologist after an Undergraduate degree and you need high marks to do further study. It is amazing how many students start study, not realising what their options and pathways for work are at the end!

Positive: course content, good lecturers and support

My advice to future students is: Use what is available to you. There are heaps of facilities on campus, as well as a lot of financial scholarships and different support staff to help you through your degree

The positive aspects are: there are some great lecturers/ unit coordinators and the uni outline is fairly applicable.

However the negatives include: the lack of an internship, so there is basically no practical/ hands on experience from uni for my degree. Secondly, the core units are not specific enough, for example my major is marketing, but I am not doing marketing and advertising law as part of my core units, making me feel less prepared for working.

My advice to future students is: Do not go to Murdoch
