Course Description

Students will acquire knowledge across core areas of business, economics and finance, and the capability to apply these skills in order to perform high-level financial and economic analysis in both the public and private sector.

The course consists of common core subjects in business, core subjects in economics and finance, and includes flexibility to choose a minor or electives from business or other disciplines such as accounting, international business, social justice, statistics and politics.

To simulate trading in money and foreign exchange markets, students have access to the RMIT Trading Facility which uses a live market data feed from Thomson Reuters Eikon.

This course is very versatile. You can walk into any major companies with this degree. However, you need to have passion for it because the subjects are very very dry. Positive: this course is quite close to the reality in my opinion. I know what I'm going to do and be in the future when I study this course. The courses content is updated regularly, every semester. Lecturers are experienced and quite good at explaining.
