Course Description

If you’re a high-achieving student who wants to develop your knowledge of science with a strong emphasis on research, then this is the degree for you.

The Bachelor of Science (Advanced) lets you experience the academic and research culture of the scientific areas you are most interested in, while still providing the choice and flexibility of a Bachelor of Science.

You design your own degree from a broad range of study options, choosing areas of interest to you.

You’ll also take part in structured research activities and seminars normally only available to Honours and postgraduate students.

The degree offers lab attachments and a semester-long research placement, to give you a real breadth of experience. This links you with academic staff in major research areas, giving you early access to research laboratories and projects that can be further developed for an Honours year and postgraduate study (Masters or PhD).
