Positives: The positive aspects of my degree was that the institution had an excellent online platform. This made it easy to study externally and work around my family and life.
I also loved the fact, that the degree was flexible and I was able to pick and choose the subjects to study in different semesters to suit me.
Finally the lecturers had been with the University for quite a while and were knowledgeable about subject matters and used their personal experiences for learning.
Negatives: The negative aspects of my course would be regarding the compulsory subjects, for example Sustainability. I felt this subject was not very useful for my degree.
My advice to future students is: I think it is important for potential future students to explore their career options, if they chose to study this degree. Ensure that there are jobs available in the field that you study so that you don't end up with a degree with limited opportunities.
I'm doing this online.
Positives: Lecturers are easy to contact, and course content is easy to find, understand and work through
Negatives: Not really about the course itself but I don’t get to have direct, immediate contact with the lecturer instead I must email and wait for a response. And there is slot of reading to do
My advice to future students is: Uni isn’t harder than school, it’s just different. Give yourself some time to adjust, work through everything and you will do well! :)
I'm majoring in international relations and Law.
Positives: learn a lot of things
Negatives: It’s not two seperate degrees
My advice to future students is: make sure you keep up with your course work
Positives: Lecturers are communicate clearly, interesting topics
Negatives: Assessment but that’s unavoidable
My advice to future students is: Time management makes all the difference
Positives: the lecturers are very attentive to you, resources are easily accessible and content is logically
Negatives: long lectures and intense reading
My advice to future students is: go to uni open days
Positive: learning new information and enjoying how we learn
Negative: a lot of workload
My advice to future students is: To get ready for hard work but to enjoy it
Postive was being able to do this course online and do online classes. I loved being able to go to residential school and meet other people studying in my course and work in teams. I loved my teachers also.
Negative was how complicated it seemed and I had trouble proccessing all of it still when others in my class were way ahead of me. I felt like they needed to make sure all of the class knew everything before they moved on with important stuff
My advice to future students is: Try and stick with your course no matter how hard it seems. Do some tutoring if it gets hard and make sure you ask for help when needed.
