Course Description

Succeed in today's dynamic world by developing engineering expertise alongside the critical insights and research methods offered by the sciences. This combined degree emphasises the strong scientific foundations of engineering. It will expand your career options by giving you two qualifications with just one extra year of study.

You can combine any engineering streams (Aeronautical, Biomedical, Chemical and Biomolecular, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, and Software) with a Bachelor of Science. You will develop an extensive knowledge of your chosen engineering stream along with technical and research skills to lead innovation across continually evolving industries.

Complementing your engineering studies, the Bachelor of Science emphasises fundamental principles and discovery research underpinned by critical thinking and analytical capabilities. You can major in one or two areas of science, with elective units allowing you the flexibility to explore different branches and interests. We offer more than 50 study areas, taking you from the nanoscale to the cosmic, from biological to physical and chemical processes as well as preventing diseases in humans, animals and plants.

You can complete this combined degree program in five years of full-time study, after which you will graduate with two qualifications. With a range of exciting career options across the commercial and government sectors, there are enormous opportunities to lead the next wave of innovation and development.
