Positives: Relevant information learned and I’m very passionate about what I’m learning
Negatives: Lack of communication about the course and work placement
My advice to future students is: Do your assessments on time!
Positives: That it is available so close by and I didn’t have to leave home or move away/out.
Negatives: Lack of communication, teachers not showing up, lack of scholarships for EVERYONE (not just ATSIP, single mums, people on centerlink)
My advice to future students is: Chose a different university if you’re willing to move away.
Positives: The practical aspects, writing a blog, and also being able to talk about interesting topics and subjects that I am interested in.
Negatives: 1st tutorial icebreakers
My advice to future students is: Put your everything into class discussions, ask as many questions, keep up to date with workloads. And start assignments weeks earlier to the due date.
I only have positives - good teachers
My advice to future students is: Do your notes early on in the course
Positive- Beautiful campus, fun learning environment
My advice to future students is: Parking is horrible
Not much content for the length of the course
My advice to future students is: Choose a degree that you like
Great in class tutorial work. Would like to speak more and develop those skills more. Assignments are every week which is important to keep on top of a language. It can be frustrating at times, but I know why they do it.
My advice to future students is: Get involved in as many activities on campus as you can. The academic side of things is one aspect of going to University, but not everything. Get involved and have fun!
There's a good range of relevant majors and subjects to choose from. The lecturers and tutors are really engaging and make a great learning environment.
My advice to future students is: this is a good industry to get into. Try and choose a good and relevant major.
I'm doing a major in materials
Positives are that it is a course which i am interested in and will not get bored of.
Negatives is that a lot of work and studying are involved to get high marks for a good gpa
My advice to future students is: First and second year are important because it adds to your gpa meaning high chances for jobs and interships
Positive really great class sizes and good teachers.
Negatives poor communication on specific detail regarding placements and leaves students in the dark a bit
My advice to future students is: It may seem confusing at first but give it a chance
