Course Description

Our Bachelor of Business provides you with flexibility and professional development to help you prepare for a constantly changing local and global business workforce. Develop a solid foundation in core business studies followed by a choice of major study from over a dozen specialty business areas.

I majored in Accounting.

Positives: you can study all things that you need to know to be a qualified accountant

Positives: Good insight to the business world.

Lots of subjects were covered which opened up a lot of different job possibilities and helped me find things i was interested in.

The exams were not very hard, because the lecturer would normally test what they have covered, and normally they give you sample test, which is similar to final exam.

Positive: Learnt how to work with others in groups.

Negative: Didn't really prepare me for the workforce and for the range of jobs available in the industry.

My advice to future students is: Get a job working parttime in the industry you're interested in as soon as you possibly can.

The positives was the whole experience. I was a mature age student, so being able to go back to Uni and achieve the level of grades I received was amazing...

I'm doing Information Systems Management major.

The course is informative - although perhaps it'd be better doing a more 'technical' focussed course (eg CS) with some business elements might be more beneficial for trying to find a job.

It's also relatively cheap for international students.

It's a cheap course, the uni resources are fine, but the uni is located in a remote area.

It's good to do a course like this to get into accounting although more study is often required (depending on your role).

The course content and teachers are extremely helpful and relevant to working in a business environment, as I work at pitcher partners the accounting firm, I find all the content can be applied to my daily work life.
