Course Description

With today’s fast pace of change, you need a business degree that’s going to keep up. It’s why we’ve revamped our Bachelor of Business to be more tailored to evolving industry, technology and careers.

With a course structure unique to Western, you build your degree to best suit your area of specialisation. Unlike traditional degrees, you can now choose majors outside the business stream to give you amore diverse set of skills and knowledge. What’s more, with Western, you begin your major in the first year of study. No more waiting to dive into the areas that interests you most.

Depending on the majors and electives you choose, the Bachelor of Business can also see you graduate with industry specific accreditation from Australia’s leading institutions.

Positives: It's a very quick course (3 years compared to other degrees). Ideal for people who want to enter the workforce asap and not spend a great time studying. Also the degree has a lot of real life applications (e.g. how to start / run your own business)

Positives: I like that I am exposed to the business mentality through the lens of older tutors and teachers. This is like standing on their shoulders. I like that business is so broad and this allows me to think a lot about the course which is enjoyable

Positives: the tutors are really good, the classes are small so there is good interaction, there is good diversity within the groups

Negatives: the lectures are online now

My advice to future students is: make sure you get used to watching a lecture on a laptop, don’t think you’ll be watching them in a lecture theatre

Positive aspect is that even if you don’t know what your career goal is you can still study in other areas through the electives.

Negative aspect for me was the challenge of taking control over your choices and studies.

Great place, the new campus is amazing theres lots to do and visually very pleasing.

However the course itself, its structured with tutors who struggle to deliver intuitive and well developed lessons.

There are some pretty easy core subjects, although they are often pretty boring as well. Good breadth of majors to follow.
